Hummingbird

IEP Hummingbird

Project Hummingbird aims to transform a Greene County brownfield property into the future of tomorrow’s digital economy. Combining the region’s energy, fiber, water, and strategic location, we’re investing in Hummingbird’s pad ready data center site to deliver the affordable, reliable power and capacity that hyperscalers need.

POWER-READY, PURPOSE BUILT

Turning a brownfield site into a co-located ~910MW combined cycle natural gas power plant and hyperscale data center campus, with 750+ build-able acres for future expansion.

SPEED AND RELIABILITY

Direct access to Northeastern fiber hubs ensure near-zero latency. Power delivery to site mid-year 2027 and turbine delivery secured for 2028 accelerates speed to market. Integrated battery storage and grid backup will deliver Tier 4 reliability and pose no impacts to residential utility bills

REGIONAL ADVANTAGE

Anchored on the banks of the Monongahela River in Greene County, this resource rich area is within an hour’s drive of Pittsburgh and Morgantown. Hummingbird links top research, energy, and digital hubs with a skilled regional workforce.
