Mr. Adelkoff was an equity partner at K&L Gates, LLP for over 15 years where he represented independent power producers, utilities, exploration companies, lenders (both senior and mezzanine) and equity participants. He successfully completed international and domestic transactions worth Billions of dollars in industries ranging from power generation and timber to commodity exploration and liquid natural gas facility development. He participated in the development and acquisition of over 400 MW of wind energy representing both developers and lenders.
During his career he has become a leading industry expert in investment fund formation and operations, including investment structuring and decision analysis. He successfully created offshore investment fund platforms that have invested over $250 Million internationally.
He became Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel for Shariah Capital, Inc., whose stock is publicly traded on the London Alternative Investment Market. Shariah Capital manages various alternative investment funds for Middle Eastern investors, primarily focused in the commodity space. Each investment fund is Shariah-compliant, an area in which Mr. Adelkoff has become an internationally renowned expert.
Mr. Adelkoff is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and frequent lecturer on topics as wide-ranging as Shariah-compliant investment vehicles and off-balance sheet financing. Mr. Adelkoff is also an adjunct professor of the MBA program at Seton Hill University, where he teaches Law and Business Ethics.
He earned is BA from Rutgers, an MBA from Cornell University, Johnson School of Management, and Juris Doctorate from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
